Good location to go out on foot during the day to the main attractions of San Jose (museums, parks). Pretty good breakfast. Good rooms. Parking available.
The neighborhood at night is quite gloomy, especially on 9th Street, since there are a couple of casinos (one of them on the grounds of the same hotel). You can see a somewhat gangster and prostitution atmosphere. I suggest going out on 11th Street at night (the hotel has an exit on both sides). A separate note is that 3 times (more than once is no longer a coincidence) we bumped into old gringo gentlemen in the hotel elevator, accompanied by local ladies in tight dresses. Draw your conclusions. It's true that at breakfast you see tourists, business people and also families, however I think the hotel should better define its target audience. It is definitely not the best environment to go with children.

The staff was courteous, the breakfast was excellent, everything was great. The room was huge & carpeted, the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom was particularly good, enjoyed it. The service was excellent, they tackled problem at my request. On the plus side, there was parking on site.

Comfortable Stay with Convenient Amenities
Enjoyed a lovely two-night stay with friendly staff who were always willing to help. Breakfast had a great variety, and the laundry facilities were a lifesaver after long travels. The location allowed us to stroll to nearby attractions easily, a perfect base for exploring the city!

Couple's perfect getaway
I was blown away by the attentiveness of the staff, especially a guy named Cristian who helped me find my lost phone. The room had this crazy comfy bed, made it hard to get out every morning.
It wasn't cheap but still acceptable for what you get.
